Typical cross-section of the steel-steel bushing (commonly known in the industry as dual-metal bushing or steel-back-steel-sleeve composite bushing):
The outer steel back (usually 20# steel or 16MnCr5) provides interference press-fitting strength;
The inner sintered copper-lead or copper-tin alloy (such as CuPb10Sn10, CuSn8, CuPb24Sn) forms a wear-resistant working surface;
If there are “diamond-shaped/circular oil pockets” or “PTFE coating” in the middle, it is classified into the DU, DX, and Bushing-Steel series.

Shared characteristics of steel-steel bushings:
High load-bearing capacity: Static load of 140 to 250 MPa, which is 2 to 3 times higher than that of single-metal copper bushings.
Fatigue resistance: The steel back provides strength, and the alloy layer reduces friction, with no peeling after 10⁷ cycles.
Thin-walled and lightweight: Wall thickness is only 0.75 to 2.5 mm, suitable for compact press-fitting spaces.
Cost advantage: Copper consumption is only 15% of that of integral copper bushings, reducing material costs by 40%.
Easy mass production: Continuous sintering, rolling, and rounding of steel strips, using coil materials with a width of 200 mm, producing 80 pieces per minute.
Simple installation: Outer circle roughness Ra ≤ 0.8 μm, interference of 0.03 to 0.08 mm, capable of being directly pressed in without heating.
