The 13-36500 2016+ sway bar is an OEM upgrade accessory launched by MAZDA for the ND chassis from 2016, commonly known as Mazda OEM 26 (27) mm sway bar. This sway bar is applicable to the following models: 2016 MX-5 soft top, 2017 MX-5 soft top, 2017 MX-5 RF, 2017 Fiat 124 Spider, etc. It usually uses 4140 CrMo spring steel/42CrMo as raw materials. Product diameters: the front sway bar is 27 mm, a tubular sway bar with a wall thickness of 5 mm; and the rear sway bar is 16 mm, a solid sway bar. The front sway bar is 3-way adjustable, and the rear sway bar is 4-way adjustable.

Origin of Mazda ND chassis model:
Mazda uses a two-letter code for each generation of MX-5 as its chassis designation: NA (1989-1997) → NB (1998-2005) → NC (2005-2015) → ND (2015-present). Therefore, the ND model (platform) specifically refers to the fourth-generation MX-5 vehicle structure launched in 2015 and still in production. The ND platform is favored by consumers for its lightweight and high rigidity characteristics.

Due to differences in the rear axle structure, bushing positions and other features of the ND platform from the previous three generations, Mazda developed a separate adjustable front and rear anti-roll bar kit (coded 13-36500) for it. This set of bars can only be directly installed on ND series models and is not backward compatible with NA/NB/NC.
